The Northwestern football team will be honoring one of the university’s most popular alumni on Wednesday in the Pinstripe Bowl against Pitt.
On Tuesday, it was revealed that the Wildcats will be sporting a special decal on their helmets to honor the life of NBA sideline reporter Craig Sager, who passed away earlier this month following a long battle with acute myeloid leukemia.
ESPN’s Darren Rovell shared photos of the decal on social media.

What an incredible gesture from the program.
Sager was an inspiration to many and honoring his life with a stylish decal is a very fitting tribute.
Kickoff between Northwestern and Pitt at Yankee Stadium on Wednesday is set for 2 p.m. ET on ESPN.
