Alabama quarterback Jalen Hurts seems to be enjoying his time in Atlanta for the Chick-fil-A Peach Bowl, but his message regarding the trip was definitely not approved by the bowl game sponsor.
During his opening statement to the media, Hurts commented on his most memorable experience of the trip so far.
For Hurts, your typical college kid who loves to chow down on some greasy fast food, his favorite moment has been enjoying some Popeyes chicken. That had to make Chick-fil-A bowl officials cringe.
” I’d say the highlight has been just to experience all these good things they have for us. They’ve done a great job of showing us out and allowing us to have a good experience,” Hurts said, via ASAP Sports. “But like I said over there, one of my great memories was going to get Popeyes the other night. I was kind of hungry, and it was really good.”
Welp, I guess Hurts would have enjoyed a trip to the Bahamas for the Popeyes Bahamas Bowl, too. Island beaches and some amazing fried chicken? Sign the Crimson Tide signal-caller up.
Kickoff between No. 4 Washington and top-ranked Alabama on Saturday, Dec. 31 is set for 3 p.m. ET on ESPN.
