LSU's Davon Godchaux to enter 2017 NFL Draft

The LSU Tigers will be without a key part of their defensive line in 2017.
On Sunday morning, reports surfaced that standout defensive lineman Davon Godchaux is set to forgo his final year of eligibility to declare for the 2017 NFL Draft.
Ian Rapoport of the NFL Network reported the news.

Godchaux’s decision comes following a dominant performance from the LSU defense which was able to contain Heisman Trophy winner Lamar Jackson en route to a 29-9 win in the Citrus Bowl on Saturday afternoon.
The decision to declare couldn’t have come at a better time.

In 2016, Godchaux recordedĀ 62 tackles and 6.5 sacks.
Godchaux is currently projected to be an early round pick who could hear his name called on Day 2 of the draft in April.
