UGA football: Bulldogs land four-star DeAngelo Gibbs

The UGA football program was able to keep one of the top recruits in the nation in the state.
On Sunday during the Under Armour All-America Game in Orlando, four-star safety DeAngelo Gibbs announced he will be begin his collegiate career with Kirby Smart’s Bulldogs.
Gibbs, a standout at Grayson High School in Georgia, is the No. 3 safety recruit in the nation.
The 6-foot-, 204-pounder is also the fourth-ranked recruit in the entire state of Georgia and the No. 40 overall player in the country.

Gibbs was heavily recruited and held offers from a majority of the power programs in the nation, while also taking official visits to Auburn and Alabama. Gibbs also held offers from Clemson, Florida, Florida State, Louisville, LSU, Michigan, Notre Dame, Ohio State, Penn State, Stanford, Texas, USC.
Georgia currently has the No. 3 recruiting class in 2017, with two five-star recruits, a whopping 16 four-star prospects and three three-star players.
