The USC football team is set to take on the Penn State Nittany Lions in the 103rd Rose Bowl on Monday evening. During the game, the Trojans will be honoring a former star.
The USC equipment staff revealed special helmet decals that the Trojans will be wearing for “The Granddaddy of Them All” to honor the memory of former running back Joe McKnight, who was shot and killed during a road rage incident in New Orleans on Dec. 1.
USC’s helmet decals will read, “JM4.”

That won’t be the only triubute for McKnight on Monday. Current USC star running back Ronald Jones will be ditiching his usual No. 25 jersey to wear No. 4 in McKnight’s memory.

It’s great to see McKnight’s memory living on in Pasadena.
Kickoff between the No. 5 Nittany Lions and No. 9 Trojans is set for 5 p.m. ET on ESPN.
