In a surprisingly candid interview with TMZ, UFC women’s bantamweight champion Amanda Nunes spoke freely about Ronda Rousey and her career in the UFC.
Nunes’ victory was surprisingly quick and appeared effortless. While most were naturally surprised by the effort Rousey put forward, Nunes expected nothing different. After being asked if she was surprised by how easy the victory came, Nunes said she wasn’t, and expressed more surprise that Rousey was able to win any matches at all.
“I don’t understand how Ronda Rousey went so far in this division,” Nunes said. “I don’t understand how those girls lost to Ronda Rousey”

Nunes went on to say that she knew she would beat Ronda Rousey after watching her first fight, and that she has always been overrated. Apparently Nunes thinks more highly of Meisha Tate, who she claims she had to train much harder to face.
Nunes also pounded Meisha Tate in their fight in UFC 200.
Will these words spark something in Rousey? Will she want a rematch? Only time will tell. For now, Nunes has the capital to cash the checks her mouth is writing.
