Najee Harris, nation’s No. 1 recruit, remains undecided on commitment

Five-star running back Najee Harris, the top Class of 2017 recruit in the nation, remains undecided on his college decision, according to reports on Saturday.

Harris was in attendance for the U.S. Army All-American Bowl and held true to his word that he would not announce his decision.

Instead, the 6-foot-3, 226-pound Antioch (Calif.) High School standout will be returning home to California to be with his family to finalize his decision. Harris has been committed to the Alabama Crimson Tide since April of 2015, but the Michigan Wolverines have been making a late push.

In fact, the most recent 247 Sports Crystal Ball projections have the Wolverines as the favorite to land Harris at 70 percent.

Harris has been dealing with a nagging knee injury all season and is set to undergo surgery. The time and location of his surgery could ultimately influence his college decision.

For now, we’ll just have to continue to wait until the nation’s No. 1 recruit is ready to announce his college destination.
