Auburn football: Art Briles not being considered for OC job

Auburn football fans who were concerned about a potential PR nightmare regarding the potential Art Briles can breathe a sigh of relief.
According to a report from Brett McMurphy of ESPN, the former Baylor coach is not being considered for the Tigers’ vacant offensive coordinator job which opened Wednesday when Rhett Lashlee left for UConn.
Briles was fired from Baylor in the midst of a sexual assault scandal, where he reportedly turned a blind eye to gang rape allegations and did not report them to the proper authorities.
If Briles would have been hired by Auburn, he would have been reunited with former Bears quarterback Jarrett Stidham, who transferred to the Tigers and is expected to compete for the team’s starting quarterback position.
