Super Bowl LI betting odds released: Patriots are early favorites

The initial Super Bowl LI betting odds have been released, following wins by the Atlanta Falcons and New England Patriots on Championship Sunday which set the matchup for the big game at NRG Stadium in Houston, Texas.
According to the odds set by Bookmaker.eu, Tom Brady and the Patriots are the early favorites.
New England is given a three-point edge over the Falcons.
“There was much debate among our oddsmakers when setting this line. Some were as low as Patriots -1 and some as high as -6. We settled on a key number and we’ll see where the action takes it,” the oddsmakers said.
Along with the point spread, the over/under was set and it is a historic one with two prolific offenses going head-to-head.
The over/under for Super Bowl LI has been set at 57.5, which becomes the highest ever in the league’s championship game. The previous high was set for the Indianapolis Colts and New Orleans Saints at 57 points.
Kickoff between the Patriots and Falcons is set for Sunday, Feb. 5 at 6:30 p.m. ET on FOX.
