Serena Williams receives custom Jordans after Australian Open

It is a good day to be Serena Williams.
After winning the Australian Open over her sister, Venus, in straight sets, Williams received a special gift. The Australian Open win was the 23rd major title of Williams career and No. 23 himself, Michael Jordan, decided to help her celebrate.
Williams received a pair of Air Jordan 1s in a custom “23 Grand Slams” box.
ESPN shared video of Williams opening the gift.

Williams also received a letter from Jordan inside of the box.
“Winning is hard,” the letter read, according to Business Insider. “It takes years of hard work, mental toughness, and a willingness to accept the fact that you hate to lose. Congratulations with much respect on winning No. 23. It will be a privilege to keep watching your determination on the court. Your friend, Michael Jordan.”
Congrats on the big win, Serena. It’s not a bad way to start off 2017.
