LSU might not know where to go with the ball late in the game next season. After National Signing Day saw them rise as one of the top 10 classes in the country this season, they lost a major part of their class today.
Stephen Guidry, the top-rate JUCO WR in country appears to be ineligible to play in the FBS next season.
BREAKING: #LSU WR commit Stephen Guidry will spend one more year at Hinds CC in Mississippi. Won't sign with the Tigers today. @Geaux247
— Shea Dixon (@Sheadixon) February 1, 2017
Guidry, who committed to LSU on December 16th and was supposed to graduate from Hinds Community College at the end of the winter semester, will be staying there for at least another year. After stating he would “definitely be a December graduate” earlier this year, it appears his academics have prevented him from doing so.
Guidry has the kind of size programs covet at his position. Head coach Ed Orgeron will be in his first full season as coach of the Tigers and suddenly has a 6 foott 4 inches, 190 pound hole at wide-receiver.
