Devin McCourty joins Martellus Bennett, won’t visit White House

Devin McCourty is the latest member of the New England Patriots to announce he will not be visiting the White House for the team’s Super Bowl LI celebration.

McCourty joins tight end Martellus Bennett in the protest of President Donald Trump.

Bennett announced his intentions to skip the celebration immediately following the team’s epic come-from-behind win over the Atlanta Falcons.

This also isn’t the first time the two men have come together for political reasons.

Earlier this season, McCourty and Bennett came together in a protest against racial inequality and systemic racism in the country when they raised their fists together prior to the national anthem.

It would not be a surprise if more members of the Patriots roster join Bennett and McCourty in their decision.
