Texas Tech star Patrick Mahomes is one of the most intriguing quarterback prospects in the 2017 NFL Draft.
While most of the attention centers around Deshaun Watson, Deshone Kizer and Mitch Trubisky, there is a growing belief that Mahomes could find his way into the first-round discussion.
And according to the NFL Draft Advisory Board, he is knocking on the door.
During an interview with Mike Florio of Pro Football Talk, Mahomes revealed he received a second-round draft grade from the experts.
"I got a a second round grade," @PatrickMahomes5 stated that this really helped make his decision to enter the draft. #NFLCombine @TexasTech

Of course, all it takes is for one team to fall in love with you, so it is not out of the question that Mahomes could ultimately move into the first-round. In fact, there are some in NFL Draft circles that believe Mahomes has the ability to be the first quarterback off the board by the time the draft rolls around.
But for now, we will just have to wait and see. At the very least, Mahomes should hear his name called early on Day 2.
