Ole Miss Football Scandal Could Cost Hugh Freeze His Job

The Ole Miss football program announced eight new NCAA violations on Wednesday, bringing the total to 21 total infractions. What does that mean for head coach Hugh Freeze?
Well, the growing belief is that the scandal has become so big that Freeze will likely lose his job.
Fox Sports’ Stewart Mandel wrote on Thursday that the latest developments mean Freeze “most certainly won’t” survive the scandal.
One of the biggest allegations of note in the newest report is that Rebels boosters paid between “$13,000 and $15,600” to a recruit. That recruit ultimately did not sign with the Ole Miss program, but hey, at least he got some cold, hard cash.
Thus far, the university has stuck by Freeze, but it may not be long before the pressure is too much and they are forced to oust the head coach in search of a fresh start.
