The UConn women’s basketball team extended its incredible win streak to 102 games on Wednesday night thanks to a rout of No. 23 Temple.
The game, like most of the games involving the Huskies during the streak, was never in doubt as the team went on to score a 90-45 win. Not only did the win extend UConn’s streak, it clinched the program’s fourth consecutive American Athletic Conference regular season title.
Napheesa Collier led the way for the Huskies with a career-high 31 points.
Sophomore Gabby Williams added 15 points for UConn to top the 1,000-point mark for her young career.

UConn has not suffered defeat since a double-overtime loss to Stanford on Nov. 17, 2014.
“Those two have a pretty distinct advantage over most people that they play against,” head coach Geno Auriemma said. “When they’re able to use that advantage, you get what happened tonight.”
You don’t say, Geno.
UConn returns to action on Saturday, Feb. 25 against the Memphis Tigers at Gampel Pavilion. Tip-off is set for 4:30 p.m. ET on SNY and ESPN3.
