Maine Basketball: Locker Room Fight Over Music Leaves Player With Broken Jaw

The Maine basketball program could certainly benefit from improving its chemistry in the locker room.
According to reports, an argument in the Black Bears locker room over music volume led to a fight that left senior guard Marko Pirovic with two fractures in his jaw.
Pirovic was transported to the hospital and players told the coaching staff that he had slipped in the shower.
That story ended up being false, however, because it was junior guard Wes Myers who struck Pirovic after the senior refused to turn down his music. Myers attempted to use physical force and, well, a broken jaw was the result.
As a result of the incident, Larry Mahoney of the Bangor Daily News reports five Maine basketball players received suspensions.
The locker room fight took place on Feb. 14 and Pirovic will have his jaw wired shut for six to eight weeks.
