VIDEO: Northwestern Basketball Player Stops To Tie Shoe, Obviously Gets Ball Stolen

|

In case you ever thought it was a good idea to tie your shoe in the middle of a game while you’re dribbling the ball — which I’m sure not many people ever have — don’t. One Northwestern basketball player found out the hard way.

On Thursday night, Wildcats guard Ashley Deary was dribbling up the court with the ball when she leaned over to strap up her laces.

And exactly what you would expect to happen happened.

Rutgers guard Khadaizha Sanders saw the ball bouncing with Deary looking directly at the ground, so she came running in and stole the ball. Sanders then dumped the ball off for guard Shrita Parker for an easy bucket.

Maybe not the best time to tie your shoe… #SCNotTop10

I bet you’ll never Deary attempt to tie her shoe while the ball is in play ever again.
