Devon Gales had his life changed forever when he collided with former Georgia kicker Marshall Morgan on the football field back in 2015.
Gales suffered a C6 vertebrae which left him paralyzed during that fateful play, but the two men have remained close. The University of Georgia has started a fundraiser to help Gales and his family build a home, while others in the program continue to keep Gales part of the Bulldog family.
That continued over the weekend when Gales attended Morgan’s wedding.
Gales’ mother, Tanisha, shared a post on Saturday with photos from the wedding and a very touching message.
“What a true blessing to be in the mist of such wonderful people! Although tragedy brought us together, love has kept us together and we have been tragically blessed to be a part of this family! Today two best friends made the commitment to love each other for life and I am so glad that they saw fit to have us share this precious moment with them,” she wrote.
“Congrats again Marshall and Maddie!”

What an awesome moment.
