James Cook already has plenty of buzz surrounding his potential.
The five-star running back recruit is the younger brother of former Florida State star Dalvin Cook, who is set to be one of the first running backs off the board in the 2017 NFL Draft next month.
It is widely believed that Cook will follow in his brother’s footsteps and commit to the Seminoles, but on Friday he dropped a list of his final eight schools.
Florida State is obviously in the mix, but there are a number of other major programs still with a shot to land the blue chip prospect.
The full list is: Alabama, Auburn, Florida, Florida State, Georgia, LSU, Oregon and USC.

Cook, who reclassified to the Class of 2018, is currently rated as the No. 3 running back in the nation and the No. 5 prospect in the state of Florida. Cook is currently ranked the No. 21 overall player in his class.
