SMU’s Semi Ojeleye To Enter 2017 NBA Draft, Won’t Hire Agent

The SMU basketball program is set to lose a key player.

On Thursday, it was announced that star forward Semi Ojeleye is set to forgo his final year of eligibility to declare for the 2017 NBA Draft.

Ojeleye will not hire an agent, so he will be eligible to return to school following team meetings and the NBA Scouting Combine if he is not satisfied with his draft evaluation.

Jon Rothstein of CBS Sports was first to report the news.

Last season, the redshirt junior averaged 19 points and 6.9 rebounds per game and earned American Athletic Conference Player of the Year honors.
