The 2017 Heisman Trophy betting odds have been released and the list is dominated by the premier quarterbacks in college football.
USC star Sam Darnold, who threw for over 3,000 yards and 31 touchdowns last season as a freshman, has opened as the favorite as we prepare to head into the season.
Darnold opened with 5-to-1 odds.
Darnold was followed by Oklahoma signal-caller Baker Mayfield and last year’s winner Lamar Jackson of Louisville.
Other quarterbacks to make the list were Ohio State’s J.T. Barrett, Washington’s Jake Browning, Deondre Francois of Florida State, Oklahoma State’s Mason Rudolph and UCLA standout Josh Rosen.
The first non-quarterback on the list was Penn State running back Saquon Barkley.
