NFL Draft Rumors 2017: Leonard Fournette 'In Play' At No. 1

The latest 2017 NFL Draft rumors come as a bit of a surprise.
According to a report from Jason La Canfora of CBS Sports, LSU star running back Leonard Fournette is set to be “in play” for the Cleveland Browns’ No. 1 overall pick.
By all accounts, Texas A&M’s Myles Garrett will be the top pick, but the Fournette talk is there and could indicate the Browns are willing to trade away the No. 1 pick to move back a few spots and still land their top target.
From the report:

Some have suggested to me that Fournette is even in play at No. 1 with the Browns. Yes, you read that correctly. I don’t see that happening, and in the end, I suspect the Browns take pass rusher Myles Garrett. But then again, the Browns are capable of some extreme curveballs in that front office and their version of analytics tends to swing outside of convention.

Taking Fournette with the top pick would be a questionable move for the Browns, who need talent at nearly every position, but if the team moved back, stocked up even more draft picks and came away with a blue chip prospect, it’d be hard not to consider the move a big win.
