Shareef O’Neal, the son of Hall of Famer Shaquille O’Neal, has committed to the Arizona Wildcats.
The 6-foot-9 four-star recruit made his decision on Wednesday. O’Neal chose Sean Miller’s program over schools like over his father’s alma mater LSU, Kentucky, UCLA and other powerhouse programs.
O’Neal is rated as the No. 31 overall recruit in the nation by 247 Sports, the No. 13 player at his position and the No. 6 prospect in the state of California.

The combo-forward will join the Wildcats in the Class of 2018 along with fellow five-star prospect Emmanuel Akot.
It’s a good day to be an Arizona basketball fan.
