Tennessee Lands Ex-Louisville CB Shaq Wiggins

Shaq Wiggins will be returning to the conference he began his college career in.
On Wednesday, the former Louisville cornerback announced he will be finishing out his eligibility with the Tennessee Volunteers. It marks Wiggins’ return to the SEC, where he began his career as a member of the rival Georgia Bulldogs.

As a graduate transfer, he will be able to suit up immediately for the Vols.
Wiggins had a promising career, but injuries plagued the 5-foot-10 defensive back during the 2016 season and limited him to just six games. If he can return to his 2015 form, however, the Vols could be adding an impressive new piece to the secondary.
Tennessee kicks off its 2017 campaign on Monday, Sept. 4 against the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets at Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta.
