As the NFL Draft rumor mill continues to spin and the first round approaches, the quarterback hysteria has reached an all-time high.
It appeared set in stone that the Cleveland Browns were set to select Texas A&M defensive end Myles Garrett with the No. 1 overall pick in tonight’s draft, but that changed early Thursday morning when the buzz started to shift and reports surfaced that teams in the top ten believed UNC’s Mitch Trubisky would be the top pick.
Now, there is another quarterback charging up boards with only hours until the draft.
According to a report from Jason Cole of Bleacher Report, Clemson star Deshaun Watson is gaining momentum as the potential No. 4 overall pick of the Jacksonville Jaguars.

That would certainly be an interesting move for the Jaguars, with many initially believing they prefer either LSU running back Leonard Fournette or Alabama defensive lineman Jonathan Allen.
Of course, this could all be a gigantic smokescreen, but we won’t know until the team is officially on the clock.
If Jacksonville does ultimately decide to shake things up and go with Watson, along with Cleveland snagging Trubisky early, that would be good news for guys like Patrick Mahomes of Texas Tech and Cal’s Davis Webb, who would be the next quarterbacks in line to hear their names called in Round 1.
