Florida football coach Jim McElwain never could have imagined he’d have to respond to a question like this.
After photos of a man circulated around social media channels of a man humping a shark while wearing no clothes, comparisons to the Florida coach were made immediately.
To be fair, the similarity is uncanny.
Who is this man? Please RT, find him & ask him why he did this? Where is the humour in humiliating slaughtered animals? @ChrisGPackham pic.twitter.com/uHN37OywCx

While the tweet was originally intended to find the man for ethical reasons, it didn’t take long for someone to try and connect the dots. The similarity is so stark, McElwain was asked to address the issue directly while speaking to media members on Tuesday night.
“Well, first and foremost, I don’t know who it is, but it isn’t me,” McElwain said, via the Gainesville Sun.
This would be a pretty bad look if it turns out to be McElwain. Even with a photo, it’ll be hard to definitively conclude it’s McElwain, (or anybody else, for that matter).
With a football program to build, McElwain can’t have recruits thinking this is how he likes to spend his free time.
