VIDEO: Rickie Fowler Nails Hole-In-One At Players Championship

Ace. On the iconic 17th hole of the Players Championship, Rickie Fowler managed to avoid becoming one of the many blooper reel approaches the hole has claimed.
Quite the opposite, he played the hole as well as humanly possible with a hole-in-one.
Fowler becomes only the seventh person ever to ace the hole during competition. He joins an exclusive club that features  Miguel Angel Jimenez, Paul Azinger, Joey Sindelar, Fred Couples, Brian Claar, and Brad Fabel.
The most recent instance occurred only last year when Will Wilcox thrilled the crowd with his ace.

Everyone was very impressed by Fowlers performance on the 17th hole.
Well, almost everyone.

Rickie Fowler, who turned pro in 2009, and won Rookie of the Year honors in 2010, is looking to build on an already successful career on the PGA tour. He has managed to snag four wins on the PGA tour over his tenure as a pro, with his breakout year coming in 2014.
Having managed to get back into the top 10 in the world earlier this year, Fowler is looking to make 2017 a career year as well. If he can manage to do this on every hole, he just might have a shot.
