If the fight had gone the other way, people would have been asking why a 12 year old was in the ring with someone twice her age. But because it didn’t, the world stands in amazement.
In her MMA debut, 12 year old Momo is choked out 24 year old Momoko Yamazaki.
Perhaps unaware of her own strength at 12 years old, she chocked Yamazaki unconscious.

The fight was a promo for DEEP jewels this past weekend in Japan. It couldn’t have gone better from a publicity standpoint. The stunning result is garnering worldwide attention.

The fight lasted less than a minute. She out grappled her opponent, then put her to sleep with a rear-naked choke. One has to wonder if the her opponent would have been able to maintain consciousness if it weren’t for the embarrassment of being choked out by a twelve year old.
If this video is any indication, Momo has a bright future in MMA. If she sticks with it, UFC will come calling once she’s old enough… in six years.
