The Louisville basketball program received some great news this week with reports that forward Deng Adel is set to return for his junior season.
Adel made the decision to return to the Cardinals after testing the waters of the 2017 NBA Draft.
Ultimately, Jon Rothstein of Fan Rag Sports reports Adel withdrew his name from consideration — which he was able to do by not hiring an agent — and will provide a standout frontcourt presence for Rick Pitino’s squad next year.
Last season, Adel averaged 12.1 points, 4.5 rebounds and 2.1 assists per game.
With the 6-foot-7, 200-pounder returning, Louisville promises to be one of the top teams in the nation.
