College footballs most interesting man continues to make the rounds ahead of the 2017 college football season. On Wednesday afternoon, Michigan Wolverines head coach Jim Harbaugh made an appearance on Pardon My Take, a popular podcast produced by Barstool Sports.
During the interview, Harbaugh talked about the last time he was in a fist fight.
Much to the surprise of listeners, it wasn’t that long ago.
Maybe surprise is the wrong word.
“That was a fistfight. A couple guys. It was a like a Bennigan’s type of thing. Late night, somebody made a comment, I took exception. I took a couple shots. But there was like two guys, one was headed from the side. I did not win, I cannot say I won. I didn’t get crushed either. I got some blows in.”
That was when Harbaugh was 39 years old, he is 53 years old now. So two touchdowns worth of years ago, Jim Harbaugh was throwing down at a Bennigan’s type restaurant.
For the record, that means it was either a Bennigan’s or a Flannigans.
Just when you think you’ve got a finger on the guy, he goes and tells you he was in a fistfight when he was nearly 40 years old. The baby-calf delivering, Rome traversing, milk-drinking coach is as much of an enigma as they come.
