Cavaliers Fan Starts Hilarious GoFundMe To Pay Dahntay Jones' Fines

The Cleveland Cavaliers signed Dahntay Jones prior to the 2017 NBA Playoffs and he wasted no time racking up the fines. In total, Jones, who is set to earn $9,127 this postseason, has already been fined a whopping $6,000 in three minutes of play.
That led to one Cavs fan who was eager to help out starting a GoFundMe fundraiser to lend Jones a hand.
As for why you should donate to a professional athlete, the campaign’s starter, Ricky Smith, gave brilliant reasoning.
Smith wrote:

Here’s the thing, yes I know he’s an NBA player with more money sitting in the bank than any of us will ever have. Yes, I know Lebron has agreed to pay his fines this year (and last year as well. Yup. Repeat offender.) Yes, maybe he could avoid all of this by simply ‘NOT GETTING FINED AND KICKED OUT OF GAMES’ but all I know is no Cleveland Cavalier team has EVER won an NBA Championship without Dahntay Jones on its roster. Look it up. Go ahead. It’s a fact. Hell, I’ll go a step further, NO NBA TEAM HAS COME BACK FROM A 3-1 DEFICIT IN THE NBA FINALS WITHOUT DAHNTAY JONES SITTING ON ITS BENCH.

The man has a point.
And while the fundraiser will likely never reach it’s goal of $6,000, it gave everyone a laugh and let Dahntay Jones know that he has some loyal fans in The Land.
