NBA Draft 2017: Dennis Smith Jr. Records Amazing 48-Inch Vertical Leap

Former N.C. State basketball star Dennis Smith Jr. is an athletic freak.
During a recent workout with the Los Angeles Lakers, the Wolfpack point guard reportedly recorded a remarkable 48-inch vertical leap. Perhaps Lonzo Ball should start getting concerned, after he showed up to his workout believed to be out of shape.
The report comes from The Orange County Register:

Smith Jr. impressed the Lakers with his workout after leading the Wolfpack with 18.1 points on 45.5 percent shooting and 6.2 assists during his freshman season. He had a 48-inch vertical. He also believed he could have helped the Lakers in one specific category.

Smith was already a potential lottery pick and the remarkable vertical leap number will only catch more attention.
Could Smith end up leapfrogging Lonzo Ball for the No. 2 overall pick and cause chaos early on in the draft or will he simply find himself firm in the lottery going to a team that is salivating over his athletic skillset? Only time will tell.
The 2017 NBA Draft takes place June 22.
