LeBron James Thinks He Could Survive A Plane Crash With Pillows

LeBron James is one of the best basketball players of all-time.
People will debate where he belongs on the all-time rankings list, but there’s no denying he belongs near the top. LeBron can seemingly do it all, with rare athleticism for his size.
It also helps that LeBron has unrivaled confidence, which apparently extends off of the basketball court.
During an appearance on Highly Questionable, former Cleveland Cavaliers teammate Drew Gooden was asked to share his favorite LeBron story when he busted out a hilarious tale of the Cavaliers star believing he could survive a plane crash with a very interesting strategy: grab pillows, sheets and jump.
It’s as absurd as it sounds.

“LeBron once told us he could survive a plane crash. So, we’re on the plane talking, and turbulence is going on. He’s like, ‘I honestly think I could survive if this plane goes down. I think I could survive the plane crash.’ And I was like, ‘Yo, what you mean? What you gonna do? You gonna jump out?’ He said, ‘Yes, that’s exactly what I’m going to do. But before I jump out …’ He starts taking all the pillows and the covers out of the overheads and he starts stuffing them in his shirt and in his suit and all in his neck. And he said he was going stuff himself with the pillows and the blankets and then jump out of the plane and survive.
“And when I thought about it, I thought it was the dumbest thing I’ve ever heard. But it was actually smart. Hey, but you know what, I can’t put anything past the guy anymore. So who knows? He might be able to survive a plane crash.”

That’s certainly an interesting — and hilarious — strategy, but it doesn’t really seem like jumping out of a plane is a good move at any time. But who knows? LeBron has proven us all wrong time and time again, so maybe he could survive a plane crash with his thought out strategy.
Let’s just hope it never comes to that.
