UCF K Donald De La Haye Won't Shut Down YouTube Account

UCF kicker Donald De La Haye will not fold under the pressure of the NCAA.
Earlier this month, De La Haye was given an ultimatum by the NCAA regarding two of his passions: either continue playing football or shut down your popular YouTube channel.
It was a difficult decision for the junior kickoff specialist, but this weekend he provided an update on his decision.
While it could ultimately end his collegiate football career, De La Haye has decided to continue pursuing both of his passions and keeping his YouTube channel — which has nearly 65,000 subscribers — up and running.

De La Haye provided the update on his YouTube account.

“At the end of the day, I’ve decided I’m going to continue making my videos. I’m going to continue bringing love and positivity and joy and inspiration to all my viewers, all my followers, all my subscribers,” De La Haye said.
De La Haye added that he is still waiting to hear back from the NCAA compliance office on any decision.
Hopefully the NCAA will allow the student-athlete to pursue his two dreams and not limit his options just because of its own greed.
