Later this week, UCLA basketball star Lonzo Ball will learn where he will begin his NBA career.
But before he finds out where he will land in the 2017 NBA Draft, Ball received a special visit at his home in Calif. from NBA Hall of Famer Isiah Thomas.
Ball and Thomas hung out at the Ball family’s backyard court as they discussed the point guard’s game and Ball received pointers from the NBA legend. During their meeting, Thomas had nothing but praise for Ball.
“I hope that you keep that type of authenticity about yourself,” Thomas said to Ball. “And you, your mom and dad, y’all stay together through this journey.”

The 2017 NBA Draft takes place on Thursday, June 22.
Ball is expected to be a top three pick.
