Rivals Wanderlei Silva and Chael Sonnen, who are set to headline Bellator NYC Saturday night on pay-per-view live from Madison Square Garden, nearly got into a scuffle during the pre-fight press conference on Thursday morning.
The two men exchanged barbs throughout the press conference as they promoted their fight, before finally coming face-to-face for a staredown after its conclusion.
When the two men were able to get into each others faces, the trash talk immediately began before Silva shoved Sonnen to spark a reaction.
Luckily, security was on stage and able to immediately defuse the situation.

Thanks to a rivalry that extends back years, the two men are set to headline Saturday’s show at The World’s Most Famous Arena.
Prior to the Bellator NYC pay-per-view, Bellator 180 will take place, headlined by a light heavyweight title fight between former UFC standouts Phil Davis and Ryan Bader.
Bellator 180 kicks off at 8:00 p.m. ET on Spike TV, before the action shifts to pay-per-view at 10:00 p.m. ET for a five-fight card headlined by Sonnen vs. Silva. Also on the pay-per-view card is a heavyweight co-headliner between the legendary Fedor Emelianenko and Matt Mitrione, a welterweight title fight between champion Dhiego Lima and Lorenz Larkin, a lightweight championship bout between title holder Michael Chandler and challenger Brent Primus, and the highly-anticipated MMA debut of one of the best prospects in recent memory, Aaron Pico.
