James Gallagher Predicts Conor McGregor Will Knock Floyd Mayweather ‘Out Cold’

|

On Saturday night at Bellator NYC, James Gallagher emerged as one of the brightest stars of the night inside of Madison Square Garden.

Gallagher, who trains alongside UFC lightweight champion Conor McGregor at SBG Ireland, was able to run through Chinzo Machida, the older brother of UFC star Lyoto Machida, in just over two minutes to advance to 7-0 in his professional career.

There was no denying Gallagher’s success on the night, but he was also asked to discuss McGregor’s upcoming fight with Floyd Mayweather.

As you would expect, Gallagher is very confident in his teammate’s ability to hand Mayweather the first loss of his career and he is honored by the comparisons he has received to his fellow Irishman.

“Getting compared to the GOAT? The man who will knock out Floyd [Mayweather]?” the 20-year-old Gallagher said. “I’ll take that all day.”

Mayweather vs. McGregor is set to take place Aug. 26 at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas.
