WVU Football Lands Alabama Transfer TJ Simmons

The WVU football program landed a big time player on Sunday, with Alabama Crimson Tide transfer TJ Simmons announcing he will be completing the move to the Mountaineers.
The wide receiver, who joined Alabama as a three-star recruit, announced his decision to head to Morgantown on social media.
“Words are not enough to explain how thankful I am for having the opportunity to play for the University of Alabama,” Simmons wrote. “However, I am blessed to announce that I will be transferring to continue my football career at West Virginia University.”
Simmons played in 12 games as a true freshman for the Crimson Tide.

While Simmons is eager to get the next chapter of his career underway, he will first need to sit out the 2017 college football season to satisfy NCAA transfer rules.
