Fans of Saturday Night Live and Alec Baldwin’s Donald Trump impression are about to be pleased.
This week, it was announced that Baldwin’s incredible and highly-praised impersonation of the United States president is set to return to SNL for at least another season.
Baldwin had previously said he would not continue the Trump impression much longer, but now he has confirmed he will be returning for season 43 of Saturday Night Live to portray the commander-in-tweet.
“Yeah, we’re going to fit that in,” Baldwin told CNN. “I think people have enjoyed it.”
You’re right, Alec. We have.
And with all of the insanity that continues in the Oval Office on a daily basis, comedy is one way we can all use to deal with the nonsense. And after all, has there ever been a president who opens himself up to political satire so much? That’s what happens when you’ve become a caricature of yourself and are perceived as a worldwide joke.
