Former Louisville basketball player Chris Jones is recovering in the hospital in his hometown of Memphis after a pick-up game gone wrong.
Jones was playing in a game when an altercation broke out.
During the altercation, Jones suffered two gunshot wounds to the leg. According to the Courier-Journal, Jones’ injuries are considered non-life threatening.
The report states:
Reached early Wednesday, Jones said he was still in the hospital after the incident but that he would “be OK.”
Fox 13 in Memphis reported that another person was also injured after a fight broke out at a basketball court at a park near a police precinct station in the southwest corner of the city.
Jones averaged 13.7 points per game as a senior member of the Louisville basketball team before being dismissed.
