In just over 24 hours, UFC lightweight champion Conor McGregor and undefeated boxing star Floyd Mayweather will face off for the first time as they kickoff their World Tour to promote the highly-anticipated showdown on Aug. 26.
But while the first press conference will not take place until Tuesday, McGregor wasted no time finding his way into the headlines.
On Monday morning, McGregor took to social media to tease a Hollywood documentary about his journey from collecting unemployment to becoming the biggest star in the UFC collecting million dollar checks and preparing for the biggest fight in combat sports history.
The documentary is a Universal Films project in association with McGregor Sports & Entertainment.
“Here is another power move for you to get excited about,” McGregor wrote.
With Universal Films behind the project, it certainly looks like we could be seeing the film in theaters in the coming months. And considering how wild of a journey it has been for McGregor and his meteoric rise to stardom, it’s going to be worth the watch.
