Like a pustulant wart, the anticipation building towards the fight between Conor McGregor and Floyd Mayweather continues to grow. The two fighters, who have exchanged verbal barbs for months, are finally doing so in the same room.
In a month, they’ll settle it in the ring.
But if you want to be there to watch it, it’s gonna cost you. On Wednesday, the prices for the tickets were released. It appears they’re calling this the “billion dollar fight” for a reason.
For those looking to get caught in the lens of a camera by sitting ringside, be prepared to get your checkbook out. A single ringside ticket will cost $10,000. That leaves out pretty much anybody who isn’t a major celebrity or multi-millionaire with tons of cash to blow.
Expect it to be a who’s-who of big names dotting the periphery of the ring on the night of the fight.
Prices decrease in cost as you go further back, but they never fall into the realm of “affordable.” From cheapest to most expensive, prices will increase as follows: $1,500, $2,500, $3,500, $5,000 and $7,500.
How to purchase the tickets is not yet known, but they will be made available for purchase on July 24. Tickets that can’t be purchased directly from the distributor will be made available on verifiable second-hand markets, but likely at a huge markup.
You can bet on a whole lot of pissed off millionaires sitting ringside if the fight fails to get out of the first round.
