It’s not hard to mock Chris Christie.
The embattled New Jersey governor, who was recently spotted enjoying time on the beach that he closed to the public, was in attendance for Tuesday night’s game between the New York Mets and St. Louis Cardinals at Citi Field.
It was a pretty impressive left-handed snag by Christie, but the crowd wasn’t going to cheer him.
Instead, Christie was met by boos.
That wasn’t the worst, though, because Christie was then openly mocked on air by the Mets play-by-play announcer regarding his Fourth of July getaway.
“Nice to see him get from the beach here to the ballpark,” the broadcaster said.

To be fair, Christie did give the foul ball to a kid, but it was too late. The boos and roasting had already come.
