Oklahoma State football coach Mike Gundy has the most magnificent mullet in the nation.
That signature mullet has led to plenty of exposure and media appearances for the Cowboys head coach, which also means the university is benefiting from his hair style.
During Big 12 Media Days, Gundy discussed his mullet and said he believes it has led to millions of dollars in exposure for the program.
“I’m going to say that the dollar figure is somewhere in the millions for the amount of time that we’ve had on the air for that,” Gundy said, via theScore.com.
“We need to get our brand out there at Oklahoma State. If you look back it, you say, ‘What did you get out of it?’ Well, OK, all of that happened at a time when nobody was talking about Oklahoma State football. Nobody was talking about college football, but our brand was out there all across the country.”
The man has a point, and a fantastic head of hair.
And with some high hopes for Oklahoma State entering the program and a potential Heisman candidate in Mason Rudolph, we could be seeing a lot more of Gundy’s mullet in 2017.
