Oregon Football Team Cutting Back On Uniform Combinations

The Oregon football program set the standard for college football uniforms.
Every year, the Ducks have some of the flashiest uniforms on the gridiron and they were consistently unveiling new looks each and every week. However, that is now a thing of the past.
According to Oregon head coach Willie Taggart, the Ducks will be cutting back on their uni combinations in 2017.
“You won’t see as many combinations,” Taggart told reporters, according to OregonLive.com. “Those uniforms are really nice when you have a really good football team. We ain’t gonna have 12. We’re gonna cut back.”

That matches up with what Oregon’s football equipment administrator Kenny Farr said in April of this year.
In 2017, expect the Ducks to look more traditional.
“We’re going to try to stick to more traditional colors this year,” Kenny Farr said. “Trying to kind of simplify a few things but still keep it modern and keep it looking really good.”
Oregon is trying to bounce back from a disappointing 4-8 season a year ago, so the focus is more on the on-field production rather than the team’s look. We’ll have to see if that leads to an improved record under Taggart.
The Ducks open their 2017 campaign Saturday, Sept. 2 against Southern Utah.
