Preseason Coaches Poll Released: Alabama Ranked No. 1

College football is just around the corner, and now it is closer than ever with the release of the preseason Amway Coaches Poll on Thursday afternoon.

As you would expect, Nick Saban and the Alabama Crimson Tide top the list with another loaded roster. Reigning defending champion Clemson, meanwhile, enters the season as the No. 5 team following a bunch of turnover from its national title squad.

Round out the top five is Ohio State at 2, Florida State at 3 and USC at 4.

This sets up an epic clash to kickoff the season when No. 1 Alabama and No. 3 Florida State square off in the Chick-fil-A Kickoff Game at Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta, Georgia.
