Video: Buccaneers Cut Robert Aguayo In Heartbreaking 'Hard Knocks' Scene

I’ll leave it to you to decide whether this is harder to watch than Chad Johnson being cut by Joe Philbin.
Regardless, the news of former Florida State kicker Robert Aguayo getting cut by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers sent shockwaves across the NFL. After trading into the second round to draft Aguayo only a year ago, the Tampa Bay franchise cut ties with him in an emotional scene on “Hard Knocks.”
The move comes after Aguayo struggled with his consistency as a rookie in 2016. He was off to another rocky start in training camp ahead of the 2017 season.

Aguayo became something of a folk hero legend with the Seminoles, converting 69-of-78 field goal attempts, and all of his 198 extra point attempts. He finished his career as the most accurate kicker in ACC history, and third most accurate in FBS history. He has failed to replicate that success in the NFL. As a rookie, he converted only 71-percent of his kicks.
Aguayo has been picked up by the Chicago Bears and will compete for a starting job through the rest of the preseason.
