Florida Football: Jim McElwain Promises To Beat 'The Heck Out Of' Michigan

Florida football coach Jim McElwain starts the Gators’ season off with a marquee match up.
On Saturday, Sept. 2, the Gators travel to AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas to take on Jim Harbaugh and the Michigan Wolverines.
The game will set the tone for the season, and McElwain appears to be very confident in his players.
Specifically, McElwain says his team will “beat the heck” out of Harbaugh’s squad.
“I love the energy, can’t wait to see you,” McElwain said recently when meeting with the media. “And you know what, we’re heading to Dallas here in a couple weeks to go beat the heck out of Michigan and then come back to you guys.”
If the Gators are going to come out on top, they’ll have to do so short-handed.
Earlier this month, Florida announced seven players will be suspended for the season-opener, including star wide receiver Antonio Callaway.
Kickoff is set for 3:30 p.m. ET on ABC.
