The Florida State Seminoles and Alabama Crimson Tide kickoff the 2017 college football season with a marquee matchup in the Chick-fil-A Kickoff Game at Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta next weekend.
With the game just around the corner, predictions are beginning to come in.
Ahead of the No. 1 vs. No. 3 match up, at least one man is very confident in the Seminoles’ chance to bring home the victory.
When speaking to the media, Florida State president John Thrasher predicted Jimbo Fisher’s squad will come away with a big win in impressive fashion.
“I shouldn’t talk too much trash, but I think we’re gonna beat Alabama pretty bad next week,” Thrasher said Friday, via Tim Linafelt of Seminoles.com. “I really do.”
That’s a lot of confidence from a man who won’t be on the field, but what else do you expect him to say?
Jimbo Fisher, meanwhile, avoided the bulletin board material.
Jimbo Fisher a little more reserved: "I guess we got a football game coming up, huh?"
