Vincent Testaverde, son of Miami football great and former No. 1 overall pick Vinny Testaverde, is set to transfer from his father’s alma mater.
Testaverde spent two seasons with the Hurricanes and saw no game action, so he is looking to finish his collegiate career elsewhere in an effort to seek more playing time.
“Vincent approached me this morning and indicated that he felt like he would have more opportunities for playing time at another program,” Richt said in a release, via the Miami Herald.
“We wish him all the best in his future plans.”
Testaverde initially began his college career at Texas Tech, where he served as a back up to future first-round pick Patrick Mahomes. He then made the move to Miami.
Now, he’ll have to hope for a better opportunity after being buried on the depth chart at a second straight school.
